There are many definitions of sustainability out there. At Kamar Putih, we try to simplify the meaning of fashion sustainability by creating timeless and/or less waste attire that can be worn multiple times.
However, we truly believes that there is no such thing as right or wrong for each definition as we think that every contribution to sustainability, no matter how small, matters.
Producing less waste
Long-lasting, timeless products
Upcycled/recycled waste
We also use less waste and/or zero waste cutting methods for most of our outfits, combining them with certain drapery techniques that can create a more abstract yet stylish and long-lasting attire. However, it doesn't stop us from creating outfits with a more traditional cutting model like kebaya.
On the contrary, we embody our belief in collaborating for a more sustainable world as we upcycle the waste to a third party to minimize the amount of fabric waste going into the landfill.
In addition to that, we also encourage our clients to support sustainability by designing and creating outfits that they can wear over and over again. By doing so, we create outfits that manifest all-for-one attire that is not only high-quality, but also long-lasting for the owners.
